Today we counted our socks in 2s. Have have found we have 17 pairs of socks which makes 34 socks altogether. Can you practice counting in 2s?

Today we spent some time in our edible garden giving out feijoa trees some worm soil and tucking them up for winter with some hay.

We have had our teddies at school this and have used them in maths and writing.

Writing descriptions

We are learning to write a description. To do this we need to use lots of adjectives. This is new learning for lots of us, so yesterday we sat with a buddy and practiced writing adjectives about Mrs Robertson's horse toy.
It was amazing all the fabulous words we came up with to describe how the horse felt and what it looked like. Tomorrow will we try to write our own descriptions about our toys.

Amazing writers in Room 11

This week we have been using our writing goals to help us to write a report about the stadium.
All of us wrote really good reports about who went to the stadium, and what we did down there.

Lauren and Ryley wrote amazing reports and remembered to include all of the things Mrs Robertson and Miss Green were looking for.
They got to share these reports to the class.

All of the class are now learning to publish their writing in a google doc, it's hard work, but we are all perservering.

Taine, most valued player

Wow, Taine received the most valuable player for Softball this season.
Ka pai Taine, you must have been trying so hard each game to have been awarded this.

Room 11 are learning to count in 5s. Today we found out that we have 170 fingers in our classroom. Come in and see our predictions and our colourful hands.

Fundamentals day one

We had the best day at fundamentals. Lots of new skills being learnt and practiced, lots of laughs and lots of tired children at the end of the day.
Well done to Kylah who won the prize of the day for player of the day award. This can be awarded for super listening, following instructions well, great team work or all round fair play.

Kahoot

Today we learnt how to play kahoot, it's a pretty fun game and we have to work together 

Chocolate Friday

Today was chocolate Friday, we all brought in some chocolate to donate to the gala. The class with the most chocolate wins a pizza lunch! We hope that's us! Thank you to all the parents who helped us out :)

On Friday we shared our awesome self portraits at assembly...

Popcorn fun

On Thursday we made popcorn. Then we made a list of all the senses and used wow words to describe them. This is the beginning of some pretty amazing writing. Make sure you come into the classroom next week to check it out!
